My resume differs strongly from the resumes of my friends. We are all fresh graduates and so you can suspect we have similar data on the resume. However, I can make much stronger impact with my resume and be invited for more job interviews. At least I hope so.
In their resumes, my friends focus on education and courses they have completed so far. I do not believe that these parts of resume matter.
We live in an era of skills and talents. Because of that, I focus on my resume objective and introduction part of the resume mostly. I try to present to the employer all the relevant skills and talents I have, in relation to the job.
Some people say that I am wrong. But before you agree with that, think about the situation for a moment. What does have a good potential of catching the eye of the recruiter, when he is reading a resume of a fresh graduate? For sure it is not his education.
